.:Location
The villages of Dilofo, Kipoi, Tsepelovo, Koukouli, Skamneli, Hliohori and Vrisohori
along with a few more, constitute the Central Zagori. The village of Kipoi, which in the past was known as Bagia,.
has existed as the central trading village of the area since the 15th century. Even today it keeps its agricultural
origins alive whilst it is one of the oldest settlements of the area, recognised since 1431. Kipoi is situated in
the heart of the Zagori and is built on a rocky hill. The village is characterized by especially beautiful gardens
from which the village took its name.(Kipos means garden in Greek). These gardens are watered by a river which flows through them.
Due to our central location, it is possible to visit and admire many of the surrounding villages in a short space of time,
without traveling far. There are many choices if one wants to explore the area, for example walks through the forest to the
stone bridges and natural springs or a visit to the Folk Museum of Agapiou Toli which contains an outstanding collection of folk material.
